Yes, instead of resolutions I am setting goals. Besides who ever keeps their resolutions anyway? If you do that's great, me not so much! I'm setting goals so that I feel like I'm not on a time crunch to get one finished. And goals can be anything from losing weight and being healthier to trying to be on time more. I feel like if I can set goals, just maybe I'll meet one of them, before the next New Year!!
So here goes. My first goal is to lose weight. Original right?!? Not only do I want to loose my baby weight, I want to be healthier again, be fit! The thing is, I know I can do this. I have done this, twice before. It's just a matter of getting my mind set. Finding my will power. To do this I MUST exercise! And eat right too! No more fast food, and more home cooked meals. I have also "scheduled" my exercise time, 3 nights a week. If I don't I will always use the excuse that I don't have the time, so now I will make time! I guess that's really 3 goals.
What else.....I want to try and be better about being on time. I hate being late, but we seem to be all the time. I'm not really sure how to improve this, but I'm going to try.
I want to get together with my girl friends more. Becoming a mommy has consumed me and I love that, BUT, I realize that I need a little me time every once in a while. My friends and I have had one girls night and I'm ready for the next one!
Get in bed earlier!! This one may be a little harder. Only because I have to pump at 10-10:30pm, since Wyatt goes to bed at 8pm and sleeps until 6-6:30am. But I tend to do my blogging at night before, during and after I pump, contributing to me staying up late.
Get crafty again. When Jillian was a baby, I started making hair bows. Since having Wyatt, I haven't made very many. I want to get back into the craft show scene and add a few new things to my display. Jo-Jo and I have played with making burp clothes, paci clips and even baby hats! Will see!
De-Clutter!! Is that even a word? Well it is now. With 2 kids, we have a lot of stuff!! Not to mention, I have a lot of stuff. Therefore our house is full! And since a bigger house is not ideal right now, I want to try and declutter.
Mainly for me, but here they are all together:
1. Lose weight, (baby weight)
2. Exercise
3. Cook more
4. Be on time
5. Me time w/girl friends
6. Get in bed earlier
7.Get crafty again
8. Declutter
Do you have New Years Resolutions, or do you set goals? Can you keep them? Let me know! What are yours?
Love it Carissa. Looks like you are really going to have some great goals to work toward. I personally never did the whole New Years Resolution thing, plus I know I wouldn't be able to keep them anyway! Happy New Year and good luck!
