I always said I would not cut my child's hair before he or she turned one. BUT, I couldn't stand it any more! I mean look at this before picture. Over his ears...
The first cut felt like 30 minutes. It didn't take that long, but I was so nervous, and he wasn't very still. I trimmed over his ears first.
It looked a little choppy at first, but when it dried it didn't look as bad.
After the first cut.
He has some curl, mainly in the back and on the sides. I'm not sure if I like it or not. It's not the nice curl, it's kind of a frizzy/not so boy like curl.
I cut straight across the back, trying not cut all the curl. I've always heard the old wives tale that if you cut off a baby's curl it won't grow back. Not sure if it's true, but I didn't want him to loose all of his curls.
These were probably the hardest cuts to make. For one he wouldn't stay still and two the hair would curl and that made it harder to cut straight.
I cropped these in so you could see the after cut, but it made them a little lighter. Plus they were taken with my phone, looking in the mirror.
His first hair cut looks great! You did an awesome job!
ReplyDeleteLooks good! Big milestone!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I will ever be able to cut Wyatt's hair. When people even mention haircuts around me I start carrying on "but he was BORN with that hair!!" Good job!
ReplyDeleteYes, our boys look so much better with their cuts. I think you can be Noah's personal barber!! At least for a little while!
