Charles, The Elf on the Shelf

You've heard of him right?  The Elf on the Shelf.  Most Mom's and Dad's of little ones have.  He's this magical little elf that came from The North Pole to come live with us this Christmas season!  Jillian gave him a name, Charles!  He doesn't talk, but he sure does listen!  And watch, everything our little ones do!  Here's where the magic comes in.  He fly's to The North Pole at night when we're all sleeping, and reports to Santa on how good or bad the kids were. In the morning he's back, and in a different location.  Now you mustn't touch the Charles, as he will loose his magic if you do!

Here's a few places Charles has been!

On the lamp....

In the kitchen.....

Hanging out in the stockings....

And of course, in the Christmas Tree!  It's so wonderful every morning to wake up and have Jillian so excited to see where Charles has moved to!  Oh, the magic of Christmas!!

Wyatt @ 18 Months

My little man has turned 1 year and a half old!  Where oh where has the time gone?  I love doing his monthly updates in a picture, but this month I couldn't pick just one.  Each of these pics show a different part of his wonderful personality!

Here are 18 things about my 18 month old!

1. Wyatt is a ball of fun!  Always smiling and laughing!

2. Loves to do ANYTHING his big sister does.  Not always a good thing!

3. Has a wide vocabulary that grows every day.  My new favorite word/phrase, "Luv You"!!

4. Weighs about 31lbs., and is 34 inches tall.

5. Wears size 24 months/2T.  Size 4 diapers and size 6 in shoes.

6. Loves to watch Elmo.

7. Still gets rocked before bed every night.

8. Sleeps from about 8pm to 7am.  With about a 2 hour nap.

9. Has started to sing along with us at night. Lullaby and Twinkle, Twinkle!

10. Is rough and tumble.  Wrestling his daddy and sissy.

11. Can jump with both feet off the ground.

12. When he gets hungry, He'll run to the highchair and yell, Eat, Eat!!

13. Loves fruit.  Bananas, grapes , strawberries, blueberries, just about any kind.

14. Can sign some baby signs, taught to him by his teacher!

15. Two favorite sports, basketball and football.

16. Got 5 shots today at check up. Cried for a minute, got a sucker and was fine!

17. Thinks everything is a ball.  Even the moon.  If he can throw it, watch out!

18. Likes being read to and helps to turn the pages!

Wy Man, you are growing up so fast!  Off the charts in your weight and in the 92 percentile in height.  Boy you are gonna either be a big football player or a tall basketball player.  As long as you follow your heart and dreams baby boy, I'm happy.  I love every minute of everyday spent with you.  You love your sissy and follow her around.  It's so cute to see you two together.  You two make life interesting and worth while.  Love you baby boy!

Week/Weekend Catch up

It's been over a week since I've posted and oh how I've missed it.  We have been a little busy as usual, with a few nasty sick bugs thrown in.  So what better way to catch up than a bullet post!

*My sister and I attended a craft show this weekend where we sold some of my homemade items.  I did pretty well but the things my sister and I thought would sell the most, didn't.

*That being, said I think we might do one more show before Christmas, since we still have some inventory!

*Randy had his last Chemo treatment on Friday!!  Yay!!  Besides him feeling like crap right now, we are so glad to put this behind us.  Next step, PET scan and doctor appointment to go over results!  I'll keep you posted!

*I am more than excited about this Friday.  If your a Twilight fan you know.  Breaking Dawn Part Two!!!!!

*For the first time, we as a family passed a nasty tummy bug through our house in a matter of 24 hours.  It was gross!!  Luckily little man was the only one who didn't get it!

*We moved my sissy and her family back home, to our hometown!  I couldn't be happier, to have my sister/best friend only 20 minutes away.

*I fell off the diet/exercise wagon for 2 weeks.  God blessed me, because I didn't gain any!  Thank goodness and now that I'm feeling better I am back on the wagon!

*Jillian my 4 year old has started to spell words!  Genius!!  Well, she does have the Word World app and several Word World DVD, that have helped.  But seriously, how cool is it that she can spell rocket!

*Speaking of Miss Jillian, she finally started Speech Therapy last week.  She and I are both excited.  She tries so hard to tell me things but sometimes it just doesn't come out clear.  Her Speech teacher even has her same name, which of course my Jillian thinks is too cool!

*We had been dealing with some lamanitis in our horse Freckles, but after a few months of work and a strict diet I think he's finally on the mend!

*I am pretty much done Christmas shopping for my kids!  I am so ecstatic!  This is a first for me.  But after last year, my first year buying for 2 kids, I knew this year I had to be prepared!  I started layaway at Wal-Mart and finished up this past weekend!  Randy still has to pick out one thing for Wyatt, but I think he's got that covered!

*I've even started on most of my list this year.  This is so out of the norm for me, but I am so relieved to have this almost done and not have to stress over!

*But speaking of stress, I cannot seem to keep a clean house!  What gives?  I am so happy we live in the country and don't get many drop by visitors, cause I would be so embarrassed!

*I can't believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner, like next week.  That's crazy, right?!?

*I have a weird eye disease called iritis and it's really flaring up right now.  I may have to have injections in my eye.  Yikes, I'm kind of dreading the doc visit!  Wish me luck!

That's all for tonight!  I hope to be back regularly, but no promises.  I expect the holidays to be super busy!

Happy Monday

The Dorman Center Carnival

A few weeks ago, The Dorman Center, where my kids go to school, had a carnival.

We had such a blast!  The weather was perfect and the kids enjoyed themselves!

There was face painting.

And horse races!

Jillian wasn't too sure about this part, but she got the hang of it!

Inflatables and slides, Oh My!

The Dorman kids got to play for free, but guests bought tickets, very cheap, and that money went toward the Dorman Center funding.

Oh, geez mom, not again!!  We even enjoyed carnival food!  Hamburgers, hot dogs and cotton candy!

The girls loved the homemade cotton candy!

It really looked like pink clouds!

They also had pumpkin painting and tons of carnival games to play!

Wyatt thought it was cool to run in the wide open field.

They also had a pie in the face contest.  You paid to pie a teacher!  This one is Jillian's teacher, Ms. Amanda!

The end result!  Jillian wanted me to pie her but I just couldn't do it!  But my niece Shelby did!

Then Jillian pied Mrs. Debbie, another teacher!

And this one is Wyatt's teacher!
Ms. Debbie!

Our local fire department came out, and let the kids check out the fire truck!  Jillian liked the fireman's helmet!

They gave out fireman hats and little sticker badges!  Very cool!

The kids and all of us had a great time.  My sister and Noah joined us.  As well as my SIL and niece Shelby and NeNe and Pappaw David.  I love all these wonderful activities their school has, as well as all the wonderful teachers and volunteers that help put this on.  All the proceeds went to The Dorman Center.  This helps them make this wonderful school possible!
