Random Thoughts

Lots and lots of things going on around here lately.

1. Sunday was my ONE year anniversary of blogging!  I was sad I missed it, but am so happy I started blogging!  It has and is a great way for me to document all the wonderful and not wonderful moments in our lives!

2. This week, Randy has 5 different tests to take in 2 days.  He's not a happy camper, but who can blame him.

3. We had an awesome weekend filled with family and friends, who have made this diagnosis a little easier to swallow.

4. Randy got to go fishing twice in one day with his best friend, and I got some time with mine best friends as well.  Always great therapy!

5. I'm probably going to do a full post on this later but, I am so extactic to announce that my bestest Sisiter-in-law is moving back home, close to us!  It's been way to long since they moved away and I am just beyond thrilled that she and her husband and my niece are back.  Fun times ahead!

6. These 2 little girls are going to love living close almost as much as me!!

7. They are attending Vacation Bible School this week at our church.  They were asked to make a pig face, hence the scrunchy noses!

8. We have been blessed with so many thoughts and prayers from so many people.  It's overwhelming, (in a good way), the amount of people who care and are praying.

9. Which brings me to the blogging community.  You guys are AWESOME!  When I wrote the prayer for Randy, I had close to 200 page views, (some were from fb), and numerous comments.  Thank you all so much for caring about us!  It's a pretty cool feeling to know that people I've never "really" met, are praying for us.  A-MAZ-ING!!

10. And for my fb friends and family, OMG, my page blew up with kind and thoughtful words.  I took at least 5 to 6 screen shots, just so I could save them to look back on.  Thanks guys!!

11. We are putting together a totally last minute yard sale for Saturday.  I'm crazy for doing it, but stuffs gotta go and there's no time like the present!

12. Jillian's preschool teacher asked me today if she was always this entertaining.  I told her for the most part yes.  I thought it was so cute!

13.  Little man got his first goose egg on his head this week.  He was chasing his sissy around at my grandmothers and slipped and fell on his head!  Poor baby!

14.  We've had a few storms this week, one that produced some good size hail.  But it's suppose to be a nice 85 on Saturday!  I'm hoping!!

The hail!

Have a great weekend!!

Saturday's Top 5 Laughs

We really needed some laughs this week! So here we go!

1. A car started to turn into us and I yelled, "don't hit me." Jillian in the back seat asked me, "what did u say." so I repeated myself and she said, "Yeah cause our car will break and mommy will bust your butts!".

2. While eating dinner at the table, Randy asked Wyatt if he could go to bed with him since he was tired. Jillian said, "no daddy your not a baby your a big boy!"

3. From there the convo went to panties and Jillian said, "mommy wears panties, right mommy."I said "right", She said "your my girl mommy!". It was so funny!

4. Wyatt kept stealing Jillian's Barbie computer, and they would both scream. Finally Jillian walked away and Wyatt took it but he looked at her 5 times as he was walking away with it! Like, I hope she doesn't catch me!!

5. Our horse Dixie had sweat really bad one humid day this week, and Jillian said "she turned black!". She's actually the color Bay, a medium brown color!

I am linking up with Mel at The Mommyhood Chronicles!

Have a great weekend!!

14 Month Comparison

I haven't done this in a while, so I thought it would be fun!

Wyatt 14 months old/July 2012
Jillian 14 months old/September 2009

I use to think they looked a whole lot a like but now I'm not so sure.  I still see some similarities, how 'bout you?  What do you think?  Do my babies look a like?

Dear Lord,

I know I have come to you a lot in prayer recently. And here I am again Lord, praying for Randy, and our family.  Randy's biopsy results came back, and were not what we were hoping for.  He has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.   Lord, I know that everything happens for a reason and that you won't give us anything we can't handle. That being said, please Lord give us the strength to fight this cancer. Show Randy how strong he is and how loved he is by you. Give us all the courage to stand by his side and fight right along with him. Cancer is such a terrible disease, and takes too many lives. We do feel blessed Lord, that the cancer he has been diagnosed with is treatable, but we're still gonna need you on our side. I ask of you O Lord to be with all the doctors and staff that will be helping us through this journey. Be with our friends and family who are also affected by this. Let us all feel your guiding hand as you lead us through.  Thank you Lord for the friends and family that we're surrounded with. Let us know Lord, that everything will be fine. Watch over us Dear Lord, and help us through this.

In Jesus name we pray,

Amen

Update on Randy and Saturday's Top 5 Laughs

Randy's surgery went very smooth yesterday.  The surgeon said he did great, and he sounded pretty optimistic that it would be benign!  Of course he couldn't say for sure, but it made us all feel better!  He was taken to recovery and the next thing I knew they called me back and there he was siting up and already dressed!  He was ready to go and feeling good!  Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers!  We greatly appreciate them!!  Keeping praying that we get back good results!!  Hopefully we'll know something next week.

Now onto my top 5 laughs!!  I'm linking up with Mel at the Mommyhood Chronicles!

1. One morning while we were getting ready, I stepped over the baby gate to feed the cats.  Wyatt started to whine, so Jillian told him, "Don't worry Bubbie, Mommy won't leave you!"  She's so right and so funny!!

2. I picked the kids from preschool/daycare the other afternoon and it was pretty warm out.  Jillian got in the car and said, "Mommy will you turn the air on?  My ponies are hot!"  Not her and not Bubbie but her ponies!!

3. I was in the car with my niece Shelby and I told her I had to go potty.  She said "Hey , you can go potty in Preschool!  They have little potties and big potties."  I didn't know they had big potties too!!  LOL

4. Coming up the driveway, Jillian saw our horse Dixie.  She called to her but she was faced the other way.  Jillian said, "Geez, she's sticking her butt out at me."  Silly horse!!

5. The same afternoon riding in the car with my niece, we were driving beside railroad tracks.  Shelby said, "Look the railroad tracks are following us!!"  Too cute!

We have a laid back weekend planned.  Taking care of Randy and hanging out here at the house!!

Happy weekend!

Can You Do Me A Favor?

Pray

Do you pray?  If so would you say a little prayer for my hubby?

He is going in for surgery on Friday, for a biopsy.  I know, that's a scary word.  He has swollen lymph nodes in his neck, and we need to see what's causing them.  My rather healthy hubby has never had surgery before and never been anesthetized before.  So I know this is worrying him.  We've been waiting what seems like forever for this surgery and now that it's time, I'm very anxious.  Anxious to get it over for him and anxious to get results back to determine treatment.  Please, if you pray, pray for Randy and our family.  Pray for an easy surgery and fast recovery.  Pray for my hubby to be just fine!!  Pray for good results!

Thanks in advanced!!

Jillian @ 4 years old

Jillian Paige turned 4 years old on July 1st.  Oh my word, where has the time gone?  I look at her and watch her grow into this little lady and think to my self, she's not a baby anymore!  Now that being said, she will ALWAYS be my baby!!

I don't have any of her stats, but will next month after her check up!  I do know that she is getting taller and smarter by the minute.  She cracks me up on a daily basis, and melts my heart by the hour.  Her heart is the sweetest I know and her love is unconditional!  The sweetest thing ever is when she gives me hugs out of the blue and tells me she loves me!  Even in the middle of dinner.

Her personality is popping out second after second.  Happy, outgoing and very friendly.  Laughing and smiling are on her agenda everyday.  Whether it's telling me something silly or making her brother laugh, she generates joyfulness all around!

My girl loves to "swim", but can't officially, yet.  She loves to play outside or help her daddy in the garden.  She's definitely not afraid to get dirty, and dislikes having her hair brushed, (especially when there's a lot of ouchies!)  She doesn't like bedtime but always falls asleep right away.  Her Daddy reads her a story at 9pm and then she always asks for Mommy to sing to her.  Her favorites right now are Twinkle, Twinkle and You Are My Sunshine.  She always asks me to cover her up with her blanket, a pink Pooh blanket she's had since a baby.

She's still my girlie girl, wearing her tutu's and dressing up in Princess dresses!  She loves music and has a passion for dancing.  She just started Ballet class on Monday, and did terrific!  A post soon to come.
She has already started asking for her friends to come over and play or if she can go to their house!  She plays so well with others and enjoys going to school.

Miss Jillian you make my heart full!  I love you to the moon and back!  I love how much you've grown in this last year.  Preschool has taught you so much, and has made you so independent!  I hear on a daily basis, "I can do it myself!"  I am proud but a little sad that you don't need me as much.  It's amazing how smart and observant you are.  I am sometimes shocked by the little things you pick up on.  From telling me to stop at stop signs to reminding me to put your seat belt on.  I am so excited to watch you grow and learn new things.    I love that you are my little princess but your also Daddy's little girl.  Your little brother and cousin look up to you, and you love for them to follow you around.  You're just as sweet as you can be!  I love you baby girl!

Jillian's 4th Birthday Party

Miss Jillian celebrated her fourth birthday last Saturday!  We decided to do a rainbow/LaLaLoopsy themed party.  LaLaLoopsy is very popular around here but still don't have party favors out yet, so we decided to throw the rainbow part in.  This was one fun party to plan.  Some of the details, a rainbow made of fruit, chocolate dipped strawberries decorated with sprinkles and icing, white chocolate dipped pretzel rods covered in sprinkles, rainbow goldfish, sprinkle covered marshmallows on a stick, m&m cookies and frosted sugar cookies with sprinkles.  Did you notice a pattern?  Sprinkles and lots and lots of sugar!!  My sis and I made the balloon banner, it made the difference in the room!!

I made her cake this year!  A rainbow cake on the inside and white frosting with...you guessed it, SPRINKLES!!  Lots of sprinkles!!  I also baked rainbow mini cakes in jelly jars, topped with icing and more sprinkles!!

The kids were entertained by the pool while the adults baked in the hot 100 degree heat!  Luckily we did have 3 canopies up and 3 fans going.

I also made her rainbow tutu and the cake tutu skirt!!  That was a last minute decision!  Both turned out great!  Her shirt I ordered from the same lady that made Wyatt and Noah's first birthday shirts, she's awesome!  Here's her link if you want to check her out on Etsy!  She can do any kind of design!

Jillian really wanted a pinata, and of course I waited until the last minute to get one and our Wal-Mart decided they weren't going to carry them anymore!  Thank goodness Aunt Kimmi came to my rescue and picked one up for us!!

Another last minute decision was to make these gummy skewers.  I didn't want to do gift bags filled with crappy toys, cause lets face it, we all throw them away!  So, I found these on Pinterest, and Miss Jillian loves any type of gummies so I thought these were perfect.  And with all the different colors, they fit right into our rainbow theme!

The Birthday Girl and her Daddy!!  So sweet, I love that pic!

The present table!  Everyone took the LaLaLoopsy theme seriously!  She received not 1, not 2, but 4 LaLaLoopsy's!  She was beyond ecstatic!  She also got the LaLaLoopsy dollhouse, a Princess bike, a sno cone maker, a DS and games, Oh and lots of moolah!!

Jillian and all her LaLaLoopsy's!

Jillian had a wonderful birthday!  We were so blessed to have all our friends and family celebrate with us!  There are so many more pics I would love to share but this post would just go on and on!!  Thanks to all who came and to my awesome sis Jo-Jo for helping, Ne Ne for watching the kids before hand, Aunt Kimmi for coming through with the pinata, Papa and Ms. Debi for helping put up tables and tents, Uncle Jay for taking lots of great pics and Mammaw Helen and Memmaw for both bringing some food!!

Great Memories!!

Quickie Post

I am so excited to post about Miss Jillian's big 4th birthday bash, but it won't be tonight!  We've had a crazy hectic weekend that has continued into today.  Last night we had a severe thunderstorm roll through and though it didn't cause a lot of damage, we were out of power from 9pm to 3am.  It was super hot in the house and Wyatt woke up running a fever.  After stripping him down and medicating him I put him in bed with us only then for him to toss and turn and cough his little head off!  So after a hot night with no sleep, I took him to the doc today and he has bronchitis and the beginning of an ear infection. boo!!  After one dose of antibiotics, I really feel like he's on the mend!  Let's hope for a better night tonight!

In the mean time, please enjoy these awesome pics my brother in law, Jay took at the party.  He just got a new camera and he is a natural at using it!

Birthday post coming soon.......
