Red Update

I posted Tuesday night about our dog getting hit by a car. But once we had X-rays taken, we realized he had been shot in his rear end and legs with buckshot. So much so that it has damaged the nerves in his leg and he isn't able to use that leg, he just drags it behind him. He's going to be okay but has a long recovery ahead of him. Hopefully in time he will gain back the nerves and be able to use that leg again. Poor doggie, he really is lucky to be alive. Left out in the cold with his injuries to much longer and he wouldn't have made it. So thankful for all our GOOD neighbors and friends who helped him and us!! But we will never understand why and who could do this to an animal! Especially one that would never hurt you!
Below is Red's X-ray. All the little dots are the buckshot in him. There is even a few in his tail! The other is him in the hospital, he was so sad! He's now home and resting comfortably!! We have 2 nice padded beds for him to rest in! Thanks for all the continued prayers!!

Prayers needed!

My big Red dog got hit by a car tonight. We have 2.5 acres where he has an underground fence but his collar came off and he took off before I got home. He was just up the road and made it to a neighbors house we know. They called my husband whom wasn't even home, he was at the UK game. Luckily we have some pretty awesome friends that live close and they checked on Red and then came and got me. Angie, my friend stayed with my kids while her husband drove me and Red to the vet! Also luckily I work for a vet who met us at the clinic. Oh and did I mention that it is sleeting and freezing cold outside by this point. My big Red dog couldn't walk or hardly stand, was bleeding in his back end and his gum color was very pale! Once he had been in the truck with the heat on, he warmed up and his color got pinker, thank goodness! We got an IV started with fluids, some pain meds and antibiotics. He'll have X-rays done in the morning and possible surgery to follow. If you pray please send one up for my big Red dog! Thanks!

Here are some pics of him from a few years ago!

Christmas Explosion!

We had a wonderfully, busy Christmas!  I took over 300 pictures from 8 different Christmas dinners/parties!  Whew!  No wonder I'm so behind on this post!!  We started on Thursday night and didn't stop until the day after Christmas.  In the photo explosion below we had a Christmas party with Santa at the kids school, opened presents with all of our families, built toys, talked and took a picture with my great-grandmother and Wyatt and Jillian's Great-Great Grandmother, danced, opened presents bigger than my kids, sat up all night putting together doll houses for one special little girl, (the best daddy in the world), deep frying turkey, surprising grandmothers, making new memories, and treasuring the old!  Christmas time is one of my favorite times of the year!  I love being with ALL my family, and celebrating Jesus' birth.  After all Jesus is the reason for the season.

Below I took way too many pictures!  But the pure joy and magic in these kids eyes and their little faces can melt a momma's heart!  Therefore this is our Christmas Explosion!

The End!
