The Birthday Girl and Sat's Top 5 laughs

Tomorrow is Miss Jillian's 4th birthday!!  So we celebrated today!  That's why I'm a little late posting today. But better late than never right?  Since it is her birthday, this top five is all about her and the funny things she says!  A birthday post will soon follow.

The Birthday Girl

The funny things she say's:

 1. Randy called Jillian "Dude: one day and she responded with, "I'm not a dude, I'm a girl, bubbie's a dude!"

2. Looking at my maternity pictures from Wyatt, she said, "Mommy you had a big tummy ache!"

3. When I tell her things she'll say, "That's a good idea Mommy."  Or "very interesting."

4. The other day she was talking to me and I didn't hear her, she said, I told you 3 times!"

5. Today at her party she told everyone, "Thank you for celebrating my birthday with me!"  And blew us all two hands of kisses!

We had a great day!  A hot day but a wonderful celebration filled with great friends and family, good food (if I do say so myself), and sweet blessings of my little girl turning 4!!

As always I'm linking up with Melissa over at The Mommyhood Chronicles.  You should too!!

Happy Weekend!!

30 Years ago today....

I was born.  June 23, 1982.  I was over due and delivered via cesarean section.  I was an 8 pounder, and I think 20 inches long.

My proud Papa!!  When he came out to the waiting room to share the news that I was a girl, my Mammaw Helen asked him if he was excited, and he told her she was excited enough for the both of them!!

Looks like Mom was dressing me to go home!!  What's funny is that things sure have changed but it doesn't look like those hospital bassinets have.

My hospital picture.  Those really have changed, this one is horrible!  They only got half of me in the pic.

My Mom was 20 years old when she had me.  I always thought that was so cool, that we were 20 years apart.

My very proud Mama!  Doesn't she look so beautiful!  Especially after just having a baby!!

I think here I'm laying in my grandmother's lap.  Not sure which one, but that would be my assumption.  Mammaw Helen maybe?

I talked to my Mom in heaven today and wished her Happy 30 years of Mommyhood.  Even though she's no longer with us, she still needs congratulating too!  I am so thankful for all the years I did have her.  She helped me be the woman, wife and mommy I am today.  I was rather sad about turning 30, but I guess it's not that bad.  I am happy that I can celebrate 30!  Here's to many more!!  Thanks Mom for bringing me into this world!

Surprise.....

Last weekend, my sister and best friend through me a surprise birthday party.  Yep, I'm turning the big 3-0!  One birthday I have not been excited about, but my sister knew, and made it a little more bearable!  One week early, I suspected the party I was invited to could be for me, but wasn't sure at all.

They even got me my own tiara!  Of course it was complete with number 30.

The theme was pink, my favorite color, and black and white!  The cake, strawberry, my favorite too!

I was even showered with presents.  My friends sure do know how to make ya feel special, especially when you really need it!!

All of our kiddos had a blast too!!  They are all so close in age and have a great time playing together!  And of course Jillian stole my tiara!

Everyone wanted to blow out candles so I let them help!  And thankfully there were not 30 candles, that would have taken awhile!!

My girls!!  The best friends you could ask for!!  I love them all!!  I was so excited to them all there, for me!

We stayed late, playing Wii Just Dance and Country Dance, talking with good friends and letting the kids run all their energy out.  And it worked, mine both slept in the next day!!

I am so thankful to have soo many great friends who care so much!  This surprise party was just what I needed.  Now I'll ring in this Saturday's big day a little easier!  Thank you Jo-Jo for the party and Cassie for helping my little sis out!!  And thanks to all my family and friends who came.  I guess 30 might not be too bad!!

Preschool Trip to the Zoo

Jillian's preschool class visited The Louisville Zoo on a field trip today and I went along.  We had so much fun.  It was a little wild with all the kiddos running around but we kept up with all and I think they all enjoyed themselves!

Looking at the monkeys

This Peacock flew out of the elephant exhibit to walk right in front of us!

Taking a quick break

Mason's driving, watch out!

And once again before leaving with her buddy Mason

This Giraffe was so cool and so tall.  He also loved chewing on the metal bar.

Jillian said, that's a big camel!

I loved being able to go on a field trip with Jillian today.  We had a wonderful time together!  The weather turned out to be beautiful, a little toasty towards the end, but beautiful.  Great Day!!

Saturday's Top Five Laughs

Whew, what a week we've had!  I am so glad it's the weekend, even though I have to work Saturday it's only a half day.  I haven't blogged all week and I'm sad I haven't but it has been pure crazy around here.  The week started with me getting sick Monday night, the stomach bug.  Randy had to have some diagnostic tests done, still don't know what's going on, worked late on Thursday, which is a good thing, only to pick up Wyatt running a 103.8 fever.  And I had to go to Kroger to find that out!  I took him to the doctor today and of course it's some kind of virus that you can't really do much about, just try and manage the fever.  Oh, and did I mention he's also cutting all FOUR molars.  Ouch!  But he's a trooper!  A little clingy but it's nice to still be able to snuggle my baby.

Now for my laughs!!  We could sure use some!

1. Last week our dog Pumpkin got bit by something.  I told Jillian we had to take her to the Vet and Jillian said "She has to get a band-aid!"

2. So we took her to my work, on my day off, and she got stitches.  Now that she's home, Jillian is scared to death of her.  I kept asking her why, and she finally told me that the vet made her scary.  And she's kind of right.  The sutures are right above her eye.

3. Wyatt is walking, but still falls down a lot.  But his favorite thing to do is come at me as fast as he can and then grab a hold of my pant legs and pull on them.  He will even try to follow me around holding on to my pants.  It's so cute.

4. I've said it before, Jillian loves for her brother to play in her room with her.  One night she tried taking him by the hand but he didn't want to go.  So she got a cupcake, and lured him with the cupcake, to her room.  That baby can't resist food, and sister knows it!

5. Jillian has had a few nights lately where she's wet the bed.  And I know it's because she doesn't think she needs to go before bed so she doesn't, then she goes in her sleep.  So we are now making her go right before bed.  One night Randy told her to go to the bathroom and he was right behind her.  She turned to him and said, "Stop following me!"  I about died laughing!  Girlfriend didn't want Daddy's help!

As always I'm linking up with Melissa at The Mommyhood Chronicles.  If you have funny things that you want to share, come link up!  It's a great way to kick off the weekend!  Always puts a smile on my face!!

Have a good one!!
