Saturday's Top Five Laughs

Here are my top five laughs from the week.

1. I was pulling some weeds the other afternoon and Jillian wanted to help me.  Of course I had to show her which ones were weeds and which flowers.  When Randy came home she said "look Daddy we're pulling tumbleweeds!"  So cute!

2. Wyatt was eating the other day and as soon as his plate was empty, he handed it to me and said "all gone".  I was so proud!

3. Jillian has gotten really big into telling Randy and I we're her best friends.  One night at supper she said to me, "Mommy you can be my best friend tomorrow."  I said "okay, well who's your best friend today?"  And she said "Mason is my best friend today!"

4. I take Wyatt to my grandmother's on Monday's.  Usually he gets upset and doesn't want to let go of me.  But this past Monday we got there and I was talking to her and he reached out for her then turned to me and waved bye.  I said well I guess that's my cue to go.  It was so cute and funny but I also couldn't believe he was telling me to go.

5. Jillian use to LOVE going places with her daddy.  But now if he asked her if she wants to go somewhere with him she says, "No I want ti stay here."  I think she enjoys playing with her Bubbie so much, she would rather stay and play with him!!

Have a Great weekend!!

Bullet List

Hi!  I know it's been a little while.  We have been sick and busy around here lately!  To catch up, here is what's been going on bullet style.

  • I have had a nasty cold for going on 2 weeks now.  Ughh, I think I'm finely on the up and up.  Let's hope!
  • Little man is turning one in less than 3 weeks.  Ahhhh!!!!!!!!!
  • There's a lot of changing going on around here, and all for the good!
  • Jillian is growing up right under our noses, it's crazy the stuff she is learning and saying!
  • Yesterday when we were in the car Jillian grabbed her bubbie's hand and said "Look Mommy, we're holding hands!"  Be still me heart.
  • Randy and I decided to do some demolition in our house.  It's actually still standing!!
  • We needed some cheer in our lives, (besides our children), so we painted our kitchen green.  At first I thought it was really bright and I wasn't to sure about it, but now I do love it!
  • Jillian made a tye-dye t-shirt at Preschool, and it is the cutest thing ever!
  • I couponed last week and saved $70, I was so excited!  It's a lot of work but so worth it in the end!
  • Did I mention my baby boy is turning one.  I am having a lot of emotion about this.  Just typing it makes my eyes well up.
  • I haven't wanted to say this because I don't want to jinx it but Miss Jillian has been fully potty trained now for a couple of months.  She even takes herself without even telling us.  Yay!
  • I did really well at the consignment sell this Spring.  I came out ahead of what I spent, and still got a good amount of clothes for the kids.
  • I have no idea what's been up with our weather recently.  It's in the 80's one week then in the 50's the next.  I wish it would make up it's mind.  I put almost all the kids winter clothes a way.
  • One morning Wyatt didn't want to go back to sleep after he nursed so I put him in his pack-n-play in our room to play while we laid in bed.  All the sudden he starts cracking up.  The tv was on but he was looking out the side and no one was there.  I just know my mom was there playing with him.
It's time for me to hit the sack, but I'll try to be back soon than later!  Have a great week!

Wyatt @ 11 Months

Oh my goodness!!  Let the countdown begin, my baby is almost 1!!

Personality

This picture speaks for itself.  Happy, smiley, fun loving, sweet baby boy.  This boy is so upbeat and happy, ALL THE TIME!  I love it, and so does everyone he meets.  He has developed a shy side, or at least he tries to act it when we see someone out.  He stills waves at everyone, and flashes that sweet toothy grin that will make your heart melt.  He loves his Daddy, his sissy, his cousin Noah and Aunt Jo-Jo, his PaPa and Mia, his Memmaw and Gp, as well as his Mammaw Helen, his sitter Ms. Debi and of course his Mommy!

Growth Stats

Little man is what I refer to him as these days.  He is weighing in at 26lbs. this month!  One of his Peds asked him to stay this size until he turns one!  We'll see!  I'm not exactly sure how long he is this month but I'm pretty sure he has grown an inch or so.  He is now wearing size 18 to 24 month to 24 month cloths.  And a size 4 in diapers.  He's not wearing shoes very much but the ones he wears on occasion are size 3-4. This boy is growing like a weed.  I'll be interested to see if he stays a big boy!

Feeding/Schedule

I am in the process of weaning him from breast feeding.  I had a goal of 12 months and we're going to make it.  I did start the weaning process a little earlier with Wyatt then I did with his sister.  I developed mastitis again last month so I decided it was time to cut back.  He wasn't very interested in nursing every four hours. He couldn't/wouldn't stay still while nursing either.  I kind of felt like he was trying to wean himself.  He now is only nursing in the morning when he wakes up and in the evening right before dinner.  He takes a sippy cup of breast milk at lunch time along with his food.  And when it comes to food there is nothing he won't eat.  He wants to eat everything we are eating now, so baby food has become almost obsolete.  He loves bananas, chicken, all kinds of veggies, spaghetti, and just about anything we put in front of him.

Activities/Playtime

Playtime has become an all over the house into everything time.  He loves, loves, loves to play with his sissy in her room.  As of just this month she has been hollering for him to come and play with her.  Or she'll come and get him from me or his daddy and she'll try to carry him to her room.  For the most part they play really well together.  I bit the bullet and went through ALL of Jillian's small toys, and anything that was a choking hazard went in a bucket and is put up high in her closet.  He laughs and giggles when you play ball with him, and still thinks peek a boo is quite comical.  And did I mention the sand box?  Umm, yeah he likes it!  At first he wasn't to sure about the sand being on him but he quickly began to dig in it, throw some on his head and even sample some!

Smilestones

This month little man has taken to his feet.  Well, sort of.  He's cruising the furniture, and even letting go some, just to see how long he can stand there.  Not sure he ready to walk yet but he's getting closer.  He likes to hold your fingers and walk with you.  I know when he's good and ready he'll let go but for now I'm enjoying him holding my fingers!  And talking.  He is spitting out words sometimes as soon as I say them.  Hi, Dada, sissy, bye, thank you, all done, chicken, kitty, and Jo-Jo, just to name a few.  He amazes me everyday!

Baby boy I can't believe how fast your growing.  It's unreal how this short amount of time has flown by, and I'm truly going to miss this stage.  You are a snuggling little love bug who curls your little arms under your body and into my chest when your going to sleep at night.  I love how much I love you, you make my heart full.  God knew what he was doing when he blessed us with you.  Baby boy you complete this family.

Love,
Mommy

Saturday's Top Five Laughs

I am so glad it's the weekend!  I'm nursing a horrible cold and could definitely use the rest!  But first my top five laughs from the week.

1. I am a nursing momma, and have nursed both my babies.  Which brings me to Miss Jillian and her doll.  Today while fixing lunch she had her Dora doll, treating her like her baby.  She told the doll, "I going to feed you with my boobie!"  Then she said, "look mommy, I nursing my baby, she's drinking my milk!"  I was one proud momma!!

2.  Wyatt has a toy loader that does all kinds of cool things.  One button plays rock like music.  Every time someone, mainly his sissy, pushes the button, he starts dancing and shaking his head all at the same time.  So cute!

3. We were watching Shrek Ever After the other day, when Jillian asked me, "Mommy, why he call him yogurt?"  I told her I didn't know what she meant.  Then it dawned on me, Shrek is an Ogre, and she thought they were calling him yogurt!  From then on she thought it was funny to say yogurt!

4. Wednesday morning Jillian and I made blueberry muffins, she loves to make muffins!  When they were done and cooled I put one on a plate for her on the coffee table.  Wyatt had finished off a whole banana, a muffin and some multi-grain cheerios, so I put him down to play.  Seconds later I hear Jillian scream, "Someone ate my muffin!"  Yep, her brother had palmed it and was downing it!  I told her to put the next one up high so he couldn't reach it!!

5.  Jillian and I were playing a little rambunctious one night and I picked her up by her feet.  When I sat her down her hair was all in her face and she looked up at me and said, "Mommy, you messed up my hair!"  Well excuse me, Miss Priss!!

Happy Weekend!!

Saturday's Top 5 Laughs

Thank goodness for the weekend!  I am so excited because we have big plans!  But first lets get to my top 5 laughs from the week.

 1. Jillian is a chip monster!  Last night she ran into the kitchen snatched the chips and ran back to her room.  She then proceeded to yell for her daddy.  When he went in she asked him to cover her and the chips up so Mommy won't see them!!  Sneaky girl!!

2. Wyatt learned how to wave a couple of months ago, but now he waves all. the. time!!  At who ever, when ever, where ever we are.  He waves bye bye, hello, and night night!  It is so stinkin cute!!

3. Jillian is not always very nice to her brother.  But she does have her moments.  Tonight while Randy and I were doing stuff around the house, she picked her brother up, (which is no small feat at 25lbs.) and took him to her room so he could play with her!  He thought it was hilarious!  She even shut the door, which I went and opened since Jillian has an obscene amount of small toys, (and I did go in and check on him!)  So sweet to see them play together.

4. Wyatt has learned to share food, almost!  When he was eating supper the other night, Randy would open his mouth and Wyatt would go to put his food in and then he would stop and put the food into his own mouth.  Like, SIKE!!   So cute!

5. Monday night Jillian crawled up in her bed and fell asleep before her bedtime.  We went in and checked on her, turned the light off and went to watch the UK game.  A couple of hours later we heard a huge thud.  Randy immediately looked at me and said, "do you think she fell out of bed?"  Well sure enough, he had forgotten to put up her rail and she rolled out.  She didn't even realize what had happened.  He scooped her up and put her back in bed, and we had a good laugh!!

Hunting Eggs

We started Easter a week early.  Saturday our church held an Easter egg hunt for the kids.  They divided the kiddos up by age and let them "hunt" eggs in a room filled with multi-colored plastic Easter eggs!  Some filled with candy, others a dollar bill, and some with numbers for a bigger prize.

She was ready to hunt eggs!

Little Miss Jillian walked away with way too much candy!  And she got 3 bigger prizes.  Glow in the dark bracelets,  finger puppets, stickers and bubbles.

Wyatt didn't hunt eggs, he was asleep, but he still had a ball.  He would steal his sister's eggs and play with them.

Sunday we went to our Memmaw and  GP's house for Easter dinner.  After dinner the weather had turned nice enough the kids got to hunt eggs outside in the yard.  This time both Wyatt and Noah joined Miss Jillian on the hunting.

All the blue and green eggs were for the boys, filled with goldfish crackers and a few plastic dinosaurs.

She found lots and lots of eggs, filled with candy and a few with hair accessories.  Although she didn't seem as excited this year as last year.  But she still had a great time.  Even more fun opening the eggs to see what she got.

Little man didn't know what to think, and he really wasn't sure about touching the grass with his hands, so funny!  Once he and Noah found out there were goldfish crackers in their eggs they wanted to eat them all.

Trying to get the three of them to look and smile is impossible.  Gives the pic more character I guess!!

I just love weekends filled with family and love!  This is what life is all about!!
