Saturday's Top Five Laughs

Here are my top 5 laughs from the week.

1. Tuesday morning on the way out of the driveway we always talk to our horse Dixie, this particular morning it was raining like crazy and of course was all wet.  Jillian took one look at her and said "Oh no Mommy, she's all wet, we'll have to get a new one!"  Uh, I don't think it works that way dear!

2. A few days later same thing, rain, rain ,rain!  Jillian said to me, "Mommy, I gonna ride Dixie today."  And I told her only if it stops raining, and she says to me, "Mommy, can you make the rain stop."  Oh how I love her little heart!!

3. Jillian and Wyatt go to a private sitter, who also keeps a couple of other kids too.  One little boy named Wade.  Only Jillian insists on calling him Bob, not sure why and at first we thought she had an imaginary friend.  Poor Wade, he tells her, I'm not Bob, I'm Wade!!

4.  I was trying to light a candle the other day and the lighter wouldn't light and Jillian said, "I think it needs batteries!"  She's so smart, 'cause you know every thing takes batteries!

5. Wyatt is doing so well sitting up on his own, but the moment he gets excited about something he falls right over.  He'll get it one day!!

Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving, we sure did and I'll be back next week to fill ya in on all the details!
This is a blog hop, so if you have funny things that happen each week and would like to share it with us all, please link up at The Mommyhood Chronicles.

First Tooth

Guess who cut their first tooth yesterday?  Yep, Wyatt did!  Randy actually made the discovery when I got home from work last night.  He was playing with Wyatt while I cooked supper, and as usual Wyatt was gnawing  on Randy's fingers.  And then he felt it.  A little ridged tooth is now poking through.  I'm not sure whether to be excited or a little scared, I still breastfeed, enough said, right!  This actually explains a lot.  This past weekend Wyatt was just not his usual self, not nursing very much and only on one side.  I guess that little tooth was causing a bit of a ruckus in his mouth.  Our pediatrician was right when she told us last Wednesday that he'd have teeth soon!  Good call!

Hopefully soon I can get a picture of that little tooth, but for now here's one from this morning, all ready to go!

On another note, we have started Wyatt on stage 3 baby food, and it isn't going well.  He was eating so much of the stage 2's, (5 jars a day), that I thought moving him on up would be easy.  Wrong O!  He's just not to sure about the textures in it, I think.  Last night he held it in his mouth and wouldn't swallow.  I guess we'll keep trying and if nothing else, we'll just go back to stage 2!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Wyatt @ 6 months

Wyatt turned 6 months old on the 13th of November.  This little guy is growing so fast it kind of makes me sad.  But I love every single milestone along the way.

Growth

I officially grow large babies!  Wyatt is now 22.8 pounds and 29 inches long.  This puts him in the 97th percentile.  He has little rolls all over, especially his arms and legs!  In fact the nurse at our peds. office the other day said he looks like he had rubber bands all over him.  He isn't missing any meals if ya know what I mean!  He is now wearing size 12 months in clothes and size 3 in diapers.

Personality

Wyatt is still the most cheerfully happy baby!  I love it!  He laughs and smiles at everyone.  And LOVES his big sister to no end.  She can make the silliest noises and he cracks up.  Like in the picture below, I told Jillian to make her brother laugh and tada, there it is!  I thought after my last monthly post he was going to have stranger anxiety but he's still doing pretty good.

Feeding/Schedule

We are still pretty much on the schedule we have been.  He still nurses every four hours through the day, 6a, 10a, 2p and 6p.  That's it.  He pediatrician was shocked but she says he must be getting enough because he's so big!  He is now on stage 2 baby food.  He eats 1 serving of oatmeal with a jar of fruit for breakfast, 2 jars of veggies for lunch and another 2 jars of veggies/dinners for supper.  He definitely has his favorite foods, mainly any fruit and all the orange veggies.  I do sneak in at least one green veggie a day.  The pediatrician said he can now have some table food, just in time for Thanksgiving next week, can we say pass the mashed potatoes please!

He still sleeps about the same with 2 to 3 naps a day and sleeping from 8pm to around 6am to 6:30am.  We now have a little routine that we do just like with Jillian.  We read a book in his room and sing a couple of songs while rocking.  I let him get sleepy but not nod off all the way so that when I lay him down he's sleepy but can put himself to sleep.  This is suppose to help him learn to sooth himself if he were to wake up in the night, and so far it's worked!  He has a rain forest crib toy that he watches and listens to the sounds while nodding off to dreamland.

Activites/Playtime

He loves to sit in the floor, (assisted sit), and play with all his toys.  He also enjoys bouncing in the jumperoo thingy we have while watching mommy do things in the house.  In the mornings he's content sitting in my bed in his boppy with toys surrounding him.

Smilestones

Wyatt said his first official word last week, just in time for his daddy's birthday, DaDa!  We were strolling along in Wal-Mart when he was babbling up a storm and it just came out.  I recorded with my phone and played it for his daddy that night and boy was he excited to hear that!  Just for the record, Jillian said MaMa first!

He can also sit up now for a brief period before falling to one side or the other, but this is a major feet for him, considering a few months ago he wanted nothing to do with sitting!

He can handle his toys really well now, passing them from hand to hand and of course putting them in his mouth!

Dear Wyatt you are the apple of my eye, Mommy loves you more than you can ever know.  Some days I just can't believe we have you.  You are everything I could have ever asked for.  I watch you grow everyday and sometimes get sad because it's all going so fast but I know you are going to do great things baby boy!

Ahh!! Christmas Pictures

Saturday morning I got the kids up early, got them dressed and fed, and actually got to Louisville EARLY.  What, no you didn't read that wrong, I actually got somewhere earlier than the time I was suppose to be there, with a little help from the daddy!  He got both kids dressed for me, while I got ready.  He even put on Jillian's tights, now that's a shocker, because the man can not do tights.
I feed Wyatt at the store before our appointment time so he would be full and happy.  We had two woman working with us, one taking the pictures the other making the kids laughing and posing.  They pulled down a solid white back ground and then put our kids on the floor on some furry looking blanket.  We really wanted a great Christmas picture of all three of them, but it didn't look like we were gonna get it.  They wanted Jillian to hold Wyatt, well he's umm..almost 23 pounds and doesn't sit well by himself, so that was a disaster.  He kept leaning back on her and she had nothing to lean on.  Enter the sleigh.  Jo-Jo asked if they had something the kids could sit in, on, by, something, so they brought in a tiny little sleigh, that only Santa's tiniest little elf could sit in and tried putting both the boys in it.  NOPE.  Didn't go well, they didn't fit, and looked horrible.  Neither baby was smiling and poor Jillian was left to lean on the back of the sleigh with her hands under her chin.  HORRIBLE!  I was getting stressed the kids were getting stressed and the photographers were NO help at all. After 30 minutes of 2 poses of the boys and 2 poses of all three kids they, the photographers decided the "kids" were done.  REALLY.  I was told we had an hour, that was what was scheduled.  I. WAS. NOT. HAPPY.  So lets recap, no Christmas backgrounds, no Christmas props and no happy kids, guess what, no happy Momma!  Jordan urged me to wait until we saw the pictures before I said anything and I did, but then I let the woman have it, which just for the record is totally out of my character.  I got so mad that I had to walk away.  I mean you would think a children's photography studio in a Babies  R Us, would know what they were doing.  So Jo-Jo talked with the woman, who then tried to get her to buy some of Noah's pictures, and she again told her why I was so upset.  Not only did we drive an hour to get there but to have 3 young kids all dressed up and awake all at the same time is some kind of feet!  She proceeded to tell Jo-Jo that she was new, and had only been there TWO weeks.  Jordan declined the pictures of Noah and came to talk to me.  Meanwhile the other chic decided to offer us all kinds of free pictures, only to then find out they had no open appointments the rest of the day to retake them.  Total waste of my time, and I will not be going back!

So, we went and had lunch and then made our way back to Shelbyville.  I thought we would take a shot in the dark and walk in to the Picture Me Studio at our local Wal-Mart.  Much to our surprise they had an opening, right then, perfect timing!!  The gentleman photographer had actually taken pictures of Jillian when she was a baby and did an excellent job.  And this time he did it again.  Not only was he GREAT with our kids, but he took his time, and he never made the kids sit to long.  It was the best experience ever.  Jo-Jo and I couldn't have been happier after the morning that we had had.  Check out these wonderful pictures below.

Saturdays Top Five Laughs

These are my top 5 laughs from the week.

1. One night this week, Randy got home late from work and said shew I'm pooped!  Not missing a beat Jillian said, "Mommy, I think Daddy pooped!"  Ha, watch what ya say, she's a parrot!

2. We went shopping last Sunday and when I went to pay I asked Jillian, who was sitting in her stroller to hold her brother for me while I paid and she said, "But Mommy, he's too heavy."  Yes he is a chunker!

3. After Jillian used the potty the other day, I went to hand her some tp, and she said, "No mommy, gimmie a princess wipe."  We do have pull-up wipes in a princess box, but the way she said it sounded like because she was a princess!

4. My speedometer hasn't been working right since it's gotten colder so I use my Tom Tom.  I turned it on while driving at night and Jillian asked me what I was doing.  Without trying to explain the speedometer thing I just said, it tells me which way to go and she said "It's telling you which way to get out of the forest!"  Umm, not sure where she was but I was on Hwy 53.

5. Wyatt was laying in the grocery cart while I shopped the other day, just talking and spiting, making all kinds of noises when he started saying Da-Da, Da-Da!  My first reaction was NOOOO, you have to say Ma-Ma first, like Jillian did.  I guess I can't win them all!!

This is a blog hop, so if you have funny things that happen each week and would like to share it with us all, please link up at The Mommyhood Chronicles.

Enjoy your weekend, I'll be back with Christmas Pics next week!

Mommy 101

I thought I would share a little bit about me, the Mom-me!  I hope that when my kids get older they'll want to look back and be able to read these posts that I write and say hey, I didn't know that about you or oh Mom that's really weird or silly or even both!

I'll start with 29 things about me, since this year I turned 29.

1. I have always known I wanted 2 kids, and 2 kids is all.

2. My favorite color is pink, love it, everything pink!

3. I named my kids after characters in movies and TV shows.

4. Speaking of movies and TV, I am a big Sci-Fi nut, I known here comes the weird part.  I love Vampire, Ware wolf and Witch movies/TV shows.

5. Growing up, I would have never thought my sister would be my best friend, we weren't always this close, but I hope we never grow apart!

6. I work for a Veterinarian, and LOVE animals.

7. I listen to mainly Country Music, but I do know a broad spectrum of genres.

8. I am a sucker for a chick flick!  The Notebook gets me every time.

9. I can cook, but since having Wyatt, (actually when I got pregnant with Wyatt), I can't don't find the time anymore.

10. I love being a hostess and having people over, BUT, it stresses me out to know end cleaning and planning!

11. I am addicted to Sweet Tea.  Have to have one cup, one large cup, once a day.

12. I am very disappointed in myself for not losing my baby weight.  Weight is a very sore subject with me.  I gained weight right out of high school, lost a couple of years before Jillian, gained a lot with Jillian, lost almost all of it after her, only to gain more with Wyatt!  Blah!!

13. On that note, I like food!  Chicken and mashed potatoes are some of my favorites.

14. I am the disciplinarian in our house, Daddy tries but he's just not as stern.

15. I am a creature of habit.  I park in the same spot at work and at church, and I like our same routine everyday.

16. Love to shop. I get it honest!

17. I have really come out of my shell as an adult.  I use to be really shy, I wouldn't even order my own food. I now answer phones and interact with clients on a daily basis.

18. I was really scared to have a boy, I wasn't sure we would have the same bond as Jillian and I, but BOY was I wrong, I love my little boy!

19. My first vehicle was a truck, complete with a roll bar.

20. I have 6 tattoos, 4 of which are butterflies.

21. Randy and I went to Kindergarten together and high school but actually didn't "meet" until years later at a country dance club.

22. I have only been in love twice, not including my children!

23.  My hair is naturally light brown, but I like it lighter!

24. I love a good bargain, I also get that honest.

25. I own over 50 pairs of shoes, 7 pair being cowgirl boots, and probably 25 being flip flops, I would say don't tell my husband but they're pretty obvious.

26. I went college to be a nurse, but have traded people for pets.

27. I am always late, but eventually get there!

28. I love the internet, I could spend all day on it.

29. If I could just talk to my mom one more time, I would tell her thank you for everything she ever did for me, because she made me the woman, wife and mother I am today, and I am forever grateful!

I hope this spreads a little insight on who I am.  I know I have changed through the years, but my heart stays the same.  I love where I am in life and couldn't be happier with my family and friends!

Have a great weekend guys!!

Living for the weekends

My weekend started great.  I met up with my two besties, Cassie and Jo-Jo and had our first ever Girls Night!  This night consisted of going to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory.  We enjoyed great food/drinks, fabulous adult conversation, and uninterrupted girl time!!  Ohh and did I forget to mention the out of this world cheesecake.

I can't wait to do it again, I love my girls and our precious time together!

Saturday came early, especially since I got in a little late Friday night.  Jillian went to her bestie's house, Kenzie, to play while Wyatt and I met up with Ann, my Dad's fiance and Jo-Jo and Noah to go shopping.  Did I forget to say Christmas shopping?!?  I have never started this early before, but with two kiddos and a new nephew, I gotta get started asap!  It was also some bonding time for us girls and Ann.  We shared some details of each of our lives over lunch, and shopped until we dropped.

While we were gone, Randy put up an electrical fence for our horse Dixie.  She has lived at my in-laws farm for 5 years and for reasons I won't go in to, she had to be moved.  The best and pretty much only option was to bring her home!  We don't have a lot of land, but just enough for her.  I'll post more on her soon!

Sunday is church day.  I've mentioned before, I keep the nursery at our church, which works out great since I have 2 little ones.  Jillian now being 3, is going to Sunday school and children's church.  They always read a story and then make a craft, and Jillian just loves it.  It's so rewarding to see her in class, listening and learning about our Lord.  She'll say,"Mommy, I going to make you something that will make you happy!"  She's growing up way to fast!

Me holding Noah in the Nursery, telling him he cannot take his hat off, he wasn't amused by me!

Sunday afternoon we ran around doing a little bargain shopping.  Not sure if I've ever shared my LOVE for bargains before but I LOVE a good bargain!  We have a shopping center in town called Big Time Bargains, and it's mostly second hand things from clothes to toys, furniture or pretty much anything else you could want. I have had the hardest time finding a winter coat for Wyatt, but I actually found 2 there.  A Children's Place Coat for $5 and another one for $4, now that's a bargain!

Here Jillian, hold your brother while I pay, but Mommy, he's too heavy!!

Wyatt-Help me Mom!

We finished the night off by having our family dinner at my Dad and Ann's.  We had a wonderful time sharing a meal together, all around a big table, with babies squealing and all!  Afterwards we all got comfy on the sectional and watched Cars 2 on a TV so big it should be illegal!!  It was so comforting to see all the sock feet gathered together on the ottoman and Dad and Ann each with a baby in hands!  All three kiddos were asleep before the movie was over, sure bliss!

We are definitely living for the weekends!!
How about you?  Do you live for the weekends too?  What do ya"ll do for fun?

Happy Tuesday!

Halloween Part 2

My kiddos all dressed up for Halloween.  These were actually from Saturday night's trunk or treat but they were on my camera the other day when I did the first post.

Wyatt's like, really mom.  I bet he thinks the camera is attached to my hand!

The three munchins, all cheese'n at the same time, this is very rare when trying to take a picture!

We started off Halloween at a shopping center in our town, Village Plaza.  All the stores have someone sit out front and hand out candy.  They usually have a really big turn out.

Here we are at the bank where my dad works, AFB.  The troops were ready!

Blake, also known as my first child, was/is a big helper and pushed Wyatt's stroller for me!

Wyatt laughing at one of the boys, they just loved making faces at him and hearing him giggle!

The Princesses holding hands while trick or treating, they're so cute!

Kids getting their candy!

Our next stop, our friend Brittany and Clint's house.  They live in a subdivision, that is quite the popular trick or treat spot.  We started this last year, we meet up there, take the kids around the blocks, then back to their house for soups, sandwiches and cupcakes!

Laney and Jillian, aren't they so cute together.  Don't ask her daddy!!

Kroger trick or treating.  Some of the staff dressed up in each department and passed out candy.

Kenzie was whooped!!

And so were these two, so they all thought they'd take a break on the couch!  In the Kroger!!

Micheal, the police man, was all about arresting someone!

See, now poor Laney was under arrest!

Waiting paitently outside before trick or treating.

Our crew, cruising down the sidewalk.

Daddy and his boy.

Me and Cass, my bestie, walking behind the kiddos.  We had a great time, just watching our kids together.

Our girls, playing at Britt's after all the trick or treating.  We all had so much fun.  I think we'll do it again next year!  Thanks Brittany and Clint for having us, always a pleasure!!
