I saw/read this on Little Moments Like This, and loved it, so I thought I'd answer too!

5. Do you like eggnog? Don't think I've ever tried it.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? One that sticks out the most is dangly earrings, I remember thinking there has to be a Santa, because my mom would never let me wear those!!

24. What do you want for Christmas this year?  Randy and I have stopped buying each other presents and get one thing to share, last year it was a big flat screen tv.  This year we wanted an ipad, but stumbled upon iphones!

This last one I added myself, because I want to know and there should be 25 questions, Christmas is on the 25th!
25. Does your Santa wrap?  No, ours does not.
So how 'bout you?  Copy and paste if you wanna answer too.  Let me know on the last one, I'm really curious how many Santa's do wrap.  I've been hearing that a lot do, who knew!

Lets Play Catch....Up That Is!

We've got a lot going on around here one being it's 5 days until Christmas and two because I've got two kids, and there's never a dull moment!

Last week Miss Jillian had strep throat, yuck!  But after a couple of days of Tylenol/Motrin and some bubble gum antibiotics she is feeling up to snuff!

Unfortunately this week my little man has an ear infection.  Which I'm not really sure why, seems to affect almost everything but his ear.  I mean this baby is a normally a good sleeper, but now when I lay him down he can't breathe so he wakes up constantly.  Poor thing, there is nothing worse than watching your baby sick and not much, (other than wait for meds to kick in), that you can do.

Last Friday our church had a Christmas play which my sister was in.  So I kept the nursery, only had my kids and my nephew but it was fun.  When the play was over my Dad and Ann, and friends, came in the nursery and played with the kiddos, he's, (my dad) still a big kid himself!

Saturday morning we actually slept in, whoo hoo!!  The kids both slept until a little after 8am, (Wyatt woke up to nurse but then went right back to sleep).  We stayed in and lounged about while also getting a dessert and gifts ready for our family/friend party Sunday night.  After lunch our good friends brought Jillian, Wyatt and Noah a Christmas present.  Miss Jillian got a LaLaLoopsy and Wyatt and Noah the talking Fisher Price Learning Puppy.  They are all super thrilled with their presents.  Thanks Angie and Brian, that was so sweet of you guys!

Saturday night we had Christmas dinner at Cracker Barrel with Randy's dad, step-mom Angie and step brother, Alex.  Kimmie, Jay and Shelby also came.  After our meal Tony and Angie surprised us with gift cards to Great Wolf Lodge!  A mini vacation, yes please!!

Sunday we went to church as usual, went out to lunch at KFC, where a few of our fellow church members/family fed and loved on our babies, while Randy and I went through the line sans kids.  A quick trip to Kroger to pick up last minute gifts and food for the Christmas Eve lunch at my house, and back to church we went for another Christmas play.  Wrapped it up there only to head over to the Hembree's annual friends/family Christmas party.  This party is always a blast but this year takes the cake.  We all brought a gift to exchange via Dirty Santa.  It was hilarious!!  Mainly because all the woman did the shopping so their weren't too many "Men" gifts!  We also exchanged kiddo gifts with our good friends Kelly and Kendra!  Jillian got Dora puzzles and Dora pj's.  I think she was more excited about the pj's, she said "Oh, I love them!"  Wyatt got some love'n from Kelly and loved it so much he fell asleep in her arms!

Just precious!!

Whew, now we're preparing for another jam packed holiday weekend, and honestly I can't wait.  I love being around friends and family, and sharing the joy of Christmas!  Don't you?!?

Saturday's Top Five Laughs

These are my top 5 laughs from the week.

1.  We've been having a lot of frost this week and every morning when we walk out the door, Jillian looks at the grass and says "Mommy, somebody changed the color" (of the grass!!)  One day she even blamed it on the dog!

2.  Wyatt has learned to shake his head like he saying no, it's so funny, especially when you ask him something and answers with shaking his head no, like he really means it!!

3. Randy and Jillian were passing a football back and fourth when Jillian tossed to Hershey the cat, obviously he didn't catch it and when he didn't she told him, "Hershey you need to practice, practice makes perfect!"  Ha!

4. Wyatt is learning to clap, so of course we say Yay and clap our hands and he opens one hand and has the other in a fist and claps them together, so cute!

5. We came home tonight from our church play and Jillian told her daddy she needed some Clorox 2 'cause mommies house was dirty and she was gonna clean it up.....if only kid!!!

This is a blog hop, so if you have funny things that happen each week and would like to share it with us all, please link up at The Mommyhood Chronicles.

Wyatt @ 7 Months

Wyatt turned 7 months old this week.  Ahhh!!  How crazy is that.  This is all going by soo fast, I am afraid to blink.  He is growing by leaps and bounds and learning new things every day.  This baby is awesome, I am amazed every day at how much I love this little guy and how much he loves me.  In a word, BLISSFUL!!

Growth

Baby boy is big.  That's all I hear everywhere we go.  But I am so proud of my chunky monkey!  This baby has rolls on his rolls.  I don't have an accurate weight since he doesn't have a check up this month but I think he's around the 24 pound mark and about 30 inches long.  He is in 12 to 18 month clothes or just 18 month clothes and wearing size 3 in diapers.  His hair seems to be growing more and getting a darker hue.  I'm thinking he might have his daddy's dark hair and of course blue eyes, we all have blue eyes!

Personality

Wyatt is such a smiler.  I don't think that's even a word but seriously this baby smiles at everyone.  He is such a happy little guy.  I also always hear, what a happy baby you've got and it's so true.  I have been blessed with wonderfully happy babies.  Jillian was just as happy but I do think Wyatt is the easier of the two.  He just seems so much more laid back, but it could be he's just so use to having to wait on me to do something like take sister to the potty, or fix her a drink, or just anything around the house.

Feeding/Schedule

We are still on about the same schedule as last month but sometimes we veer off a little.   Nursing 4 times a day, 6, 10,2,and 6.  One jar of stage 3, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and napping in between feedings.   Again he's just a go with the flow kind of dude.  I've said it before that we don't stay at home for naps so he has gotten use to sleeping on the go.  However our night time routine has gotten shook up a little bit.  A week after Wyatt turned 6 months old he got sick, the pediatrician chalked it up to him teething but it turned into a full out nasty cold.  When he was sick of course I babied him, rocking him to sleep every night, instead of laying him down awake.  Now, he expects that every night!  Even though he is still a little congested at night I think it's turned into a habit!  But I figure if that's the worst habit he picks up we'll be okay!

Smilestones

Shaking his head no, this is hilarious!
Feeding himself, puffs and yogurt melts.
Sitting up unassisted.
Two teeth.
Kind of clapping, it's a one opened hand to fist clap, so cute though!

Activites & Play

Bouncing is what Tiggers and Wyatt do best.  He love, love, loves his bouncer.  He played in it before but not like this, he continuously bounces, up and down, up and down, well you get the idea!  Now that he can sit up, we put him in the floor a lot with a beaucoup of toys, and he'll just sit and play for a couple of hours.  I just love watching him explore all the different textures, noises and colors, and taste everyone, because every thing goes in our mouth these days.

I love you to the moon and back baby boy, you light up our lives!!  I can't wait for your first Christmas in a couple of days!!

Letters from Santa

Wyatt and Jillian each received mail last week.  One addressed to each child, from Santa.

One to Jillian.

By secret agreement with the Martin's.  Who are stationed in Japan.  Jillian and Wyatt's Aunt Kristina and Uncle Adam, and cousin Molly.

One for Wyatt, it said the same on the back, but the letters were different.

Wyatt's letter from Santa, it even rhymes!

Jillian's letter from Santa, she thought it was so cool to get mail AND it be from Santa!

Not sure if Kristina reads this but thank you guys so much for helping with this secret agreement.  Our family will treasure these letters forever.

When a child believes, it is magical.
